The Future Of Apparel Printing

What Is DTG Printing?

TSS Custom Patches utilize a special textile ink that is printed directly onto fabric that we pre-treat in-house. These inks are absorbed by the garment's fibers, ensuring exceptional color precision and photograph-quality results.

  • Able to achieve unlimited colors and intricate details
  • without costly initial setup fees
  • with minimum orders starting at just 25 per design.

How Long Does DTG Printing Last?

There is no definitive answer to how long DTG printing lasts, but there are steps you can take to ensure your DTG printed t-shirt remains long-lasting. The first step to success is selecting a 100% cotton garment, as natural fibers absorb ink more effectively, increasing the likelihood that your print will endure for years. Next, be careful with washing: always wash your customized t-shirt inside out. Additionally, tumble dry on a cool setting, or for the best care, let your custom t-shirt air dry.

Is DTG Better than Screen Printing?

The two services are vastly different, so it's important to have a clear goal in mind for your custom wholesale t-shirts or hoodies. Screen printing has higher setup costs and more color limitations, which can potentially make it more cost-effective for certain designs. However, achieving a photographic level of detail is only possible with DTG technology. It's not really accurate to say one is better than the other, as they serve different purposes. If you're unsure which option is best for you, we recommend consulting with one of our account representatives.

  • While screen printing is less accurate, it offers a wider variety of textures.
  • DTG has no color limits
  • screen printing is limited to 8 colors.

Artwork Guidelines

DTG (Direct To Garment) printing uses the CMYK color space. While Pantone matching is not possible, we strive to match colors as closely as possible upon request (additional charges may apply). Colors will be printed as close to the original artwork as possible. Please note that there may be variations between the colors seen on screen (RGB) and the printed colors (CMYK). Additionally, color variations within the same order may occur due to the printing process and differences in ink volume and garment composition.

Artwork Preparation
Ensure there are no margins or empty space around your artwork; it must be cropped to the design.

File Format
PNG (RGB) or PSD (CMYK) with a transparent background for color garments.

Resolution
300 DPI (600 DPI for best results).

Fabric Type
Garments should be 100% to 75% cotton.

Maximum Artwork Size
13″ width x 15″ height.
